Folders and files still appearing after they've been..

Every time I delete a file or folder, it still shows in the Explorer.

Is there a way to change the refresh?

    Hello Abuttino,

How did you install WIndows 7? (upgrade or clean install)

You can right click in the window and click on refresh, or press F5 to refresh the active window.

Always a clean install.. Never understood why people want to junk up thier computers with an upgrade..

I meant, a registry entry to control how Windows 7 Explorer refreshes the window.

I know that hitting F5 would do it, but it becomes a pain in the arse if I have to do it EVERY TIME.

At least I'm not the only one...

I had that problem for awhile in the RC 7100, but it hasn't shown up in the RTM. Didn't happen all the time. It was usually with mass deletions, the first file remained showing, but wasn't really there.

This happens to me all of time also. It can be simply moving/adding/renaming or deleting a single file. I have found that the folder will eventually refresh without the F5 (~15-20 seconds) and show the effect of the add/delete/etc. What also appears to be a related issue is that often when I open a folder and right-click (as though I were going to do a "new" folder or shortcut), I will get the spinning Windows icon for 15-20 seconds before the menu appears for me to take an action. I would REALLY like to get this resolved. I saw a similar problem to this a while back on XP when doing folder related actions on my Windows Home Server, but a Microsoft patch eventually resolved the problem. BTW, this was a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate.
