    pc restarts every hour

My pc started restarting exactly every hour on a minute. I thing it might be a virus because of the exact every hour reboot.
That rules out the hardware problem. Its nor a first time this has happened. The pronlem usually dissapeared . Now it doesnt want to go away. And by the way I did not install any new software in last couple of weeks.

I would give my left toe and 5 years of my brothers life if somebody could help.
    Thx.

    Welcome to the Seven Forums.

If you want to dig into why the shut down is happening, download Process Monitor.

    There is nothing to install.
    Just download/open the zip.
Copy the files to some folder.
    Open Procmon.exe
Say Yes to the User Access Control - if needed.
    Agree to the EULA.

Stop Process Monitor from gathering its data (Ctrl+E).
    Clear the current data (Ctrl-X).

Click on File > Backing Files...

Once the next little window appears, select "Use file named:"
Use the button to the right of that field to...
...select any path that you want (maybe the desktop?).
Type in any file name that you want.
"OK" your way out of that window and the next one.

Make Process Monitor gather data again (Ctrl+E) when it is a few minutes away from time for the computer to shut down. When the computer shuts down, it should correctly close the Process Monitor Log (.PML) file. You can restart the computer - locate and double click on the PML* file. Scroll to the bottom of the data and work your way up. See if anything stands out.

*If there are several PML files, pick the last one created.

If you don't see anything odd (or the info is just too hard to make sense of) then zip the PML file and upload it to your next post... I'll see what I can see in it.

Bummer. That would have been a good way to find the problem.

The next thing to try is to look thru each scheduled task to see if one of them shuts the computer down.

And you can try a clean boot to see if some app is shutting things down:
