One thing you do need to keep in mind is your monthly data limit with Bigpond. Once you exceed that you drop back to Dial Up speed.
Also it does depend on your upload speed, as a large amount of data may take a very long time.
I only have wireless broadband, which suits me for my type of work, but it would be slow transferring say a 4Gb DVD or similar.
