Windows Exploerer crashes when opening full-screen games..

..but not windowed

So this has been happening for a couple of days now and i haven't been able to fix it.

A few things i've tried;

Reinstalled GPU drivers (Nvidia GeForce 332.21 Driver)
Restored windows to a previous point (about a month ago, which i'm sure was before this problem)
Run virus scan (online, and on my computer).

I have collected some things (and attached) the WER file from the crash which i found in the event viewer, and this, which was just text in the viewer which didn't seem to have a file.

Quote:
Faulting application name: explorer.exe, version: 6.1.7601.17567, time stamp: 0x4d672ee4
Faulting module name: nvd3dumx.dll, version: 9.18.13.3221, time stamp: 0x52b324fd
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00000000005cb2cb
Faulting process id: 0x12c0
Faulting application start time: 0x01cf204546210b9d
Faulting application path: C:\Windows\explorer.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\nvd3dumx.dll
I've reached my limit and i'm stumped, I dont' want to get too drastic just shooting in the dark so any help would be appriciated

The driver faulting seems to be part of the Nvidia software package which isn't needed anyway. So uninstall it in Control Panel, then enable Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3), open Windows Update to Check for Updates, install all Important and Optional Updates except Bingware and IE11 which is problematic for Win7 gadgets.

If Nvidia driver isn't delivered, import only the driver and not the full software from the Nvidia Support Downloads webpage. If it continues to crash then try another driver from there, but not the full software package.
