Administrator password only works to login nothing else?? Help me

I'm not quiet sure what happened to my laptop but about a week ago I uninstalled Google Chrome ever since then I've been expierencing a few things which I will be posting about in different threads. Anyway at first I was completely locked out of my account (the administrator account) then I just keep trying different things and now it will let me into the administrator account with the password I put on it but when I try to change the password or try to remove the password it asks me to type in administrator password so I do and it tells me that my password is incorrect?

Sounds like something having to do with the uac(user account control) got corrupted or damaged; which in turn is causing the system to tell you the password is not right. To fix this; you may have to go into safe mode and delete the account that the password is not working on and then re-create it. If you do that however; you will have to re-set up all your personalization settings for your account. To do this; you click start; then control panel; then user accounts and family safety.

Did you actually go into safe mode then user account control or just from within regular windows? It should let you clear out the administrator password and or just re-create the account you need. If not; some more "expert" users may have to step in and assist as im not quite positive where to go from there.

MissKatrina did you ever solve the problem with proper activation of Windows in this thread of yours? Many things might not work correctly until Windows 7 is properly activated and all Windows Update installed.

Computer keeps opening up different windows and programs by its self!?

I have never had Vista but at the top of every page on the this forum is a Vista Forum listed. That is the best I can do. Just tick on it.
