Positioning Files in a Folder

I would like to arrange my files and folders in a folder randomly and not alphabetically or folders first. This is possible in Windows XP folders and on Windows 7 desktop. Is it possible in Windows 7 folders?

Thanks
Walt

Your welcome and thanks for the update,
It does have some restrictions so do read carefully exactly where the custom sorting will be applied to,
Ultimately if you want other programs like Windows photo gallery... or even win-7 Libraries to acknowledge the sorting you will need to renamed the files but it's allot easier to bulk rename them using windows explorer,
