Desktop icons superimposed

Hi Guys

For some reason about 50% of my desktop icons have had the attached icon superimposed upon them - they are there, but just covered with this.

Does anyone have any ideas please?

First give this a try Icon Cache - Rebuild

Just in case it's the shortcut arrow have a look at this tutorial Shortcut Arrow - Change, Remove, or Restore
