win x64 error 0xc0000022

win 7 x64 error 0xc0000022 appeared on my laptop. Certain programs would not run and the same error message pops up.
It has now spread to 2 more win 7 computers. Each computer has a slight variation in what programs fail. After 5 hours of searching, I've had it.

I tried attaching the log files with IE and Chrome and get error below.

I cannot function like this and really need to correct the problem.

500 - Internal server error.

Hi Judd,

Do you have or ever installed Norton product? Uninstall that and check. Run a SFC /SCANNOW

Yes, I had one Norton Security with no uninstaller. Norton's website had a file to uninstall it.

Thanks a bunch, Archer.

So, is the issue resolved now? Is the error gone?

One desktop fixed it's self. Removing Norton fixed the laptop.
Norton has 2-3 remover files which can be downloaded free.

I still have one desktop not working with same error, 0xc0000022. Same operating system, Win7 ultimate, and no Norton on it.

Ok, So do you get the error while updating windows or starting any application or while performing the restore?

It happens when opening several different programs.

The desktop that fixed its self has the error back again.

When searching for answer I find the problem goes back to 2010

This may show what the problem is...
we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
