What's that little partition for in W7?
What does that little 100MB partition in front of my C: partition do? Can it be eliminated? If so, how?

The 100 MB system partition is used primarily as BitLocker partition for BitLocker encryption. Additionally, it also holds the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) and boot files with boot manager for booting up the computer for troubleshooting when there is no Windows 7 installation DVD disc on hand.
If I would want to remove it how would I go about doing that?
Why do you want to remove it? Until you have a good reason I am going to recommend that you leave it alone.
As Tw33k said, there is no reason to remove it, and lots of reasons not to. Just pretend it's not there and let it do it's thing.
