Desktop Background changed,missing toolbar, IE favorites gone

    Desktop Background changed,missing toolbar, IE favorites gone


    I have Windows 7 Home Premium 32 Bit, left work Friday came in Monday morning turned on PC my normal desktop background was different, the toolbar was missing. Internet Explorer was missing all my favorites. Can I get them back?

    Sounds like maybe your user profile was corrupted and you are using a temp profile. Did you see any error messages when you first logged in?

    I didnt notice any errors on boot up. How can I fix my user profile to bring everything back?

hi in our domain we change the desktop background every month. but on some machines its not updated. their desktop shows same old wallpaper. why ? the wallpaper is changed through group policy. all the machines are updated. the machines are a mix of win 7 and 8 and 32 bit and 64 bit.

When I got my laptop I immediatly changed my desktop background by saving a picture to my desktop, right clicking it, then clicking 'set as desktop background'. When ever I change my background after I restart my computer it turns into a blue solid color. I want my backgrounds to stay because now every time I restart my computer I have to change it. Under the personalization panel it shows I still have a picture seleteced but it just wont show anything...
