All the shortcut icons have changed to same icon lnk files!

All my desktop and startup shortcut icons have changed to a same icon lnk files and i cannot open any of them. Please can someone give me any solution?
I have used any solution from Google and Microsoft, but unfortunately all the advises doesn't have any help, I have tried to clean the REG,FileExts\.lnk, and scaned by malwarebytes &HitmanPro& so on, Set Associations/Change which programs Windows uses by default, but no any help! also I have tried many LnkFix &exeFix software, but the problem still in existence

I don't have a restore point, but what's the cause of this issue??? are there any good solution except restore or reinstall system ?
and I remember that this problem occured usually by windows system.

I think you might want to start by resetting the default for .exe. The tutorial had a "reset to default" for every file type

You can download each .reg file or download a zipped folder that contains all of the .reg files.

If you like, downloading and merging the .reg file for the listed .lnk (LNK) option in the tutorial below should be able to help. It will restore the default association for .lnk (shortcut) files.

Thanks for the screenshots.

It looks as though everything, except MS Office, thinks it's associated with IE.

I'm not sure which one you tries, the .exe or the .lnk

Brink knows this stuff inside out. If you haven't tried Brink's suggestion, please do and report the results.
