Sysprep taking a very long time

    Hi everybody,

Well recently I decided to switch motherboards and sysprep for switching. I started syspreping 9 hours ago and it is still going..I don't know what to do now. I searched online and people say it should take 5 minutes max. Mine has been going for 9 hours..It is stuck at "Processing generalize phase Sysprep plugins". I ran it OOBE and checked generalize. Please help :/

If sysprepping does not work, is there another way to switch motherboards safely?

    Hi, Welcome to Seven forums.

Check your sysprep.inf file for BuildMassStorageSection=yes and set to NO.

For more, check out How To Use the System Preparation Tool (Sysprep.exe) to Perform Disk Duplication

Another method if Win7 will not start due to the mobo change is to download Paragon Adaptive Restore CD, rightclick to Burn with Windows Image Burner to CD, boot the freeware to do a P2P Adjust of the OS.
