Features

What feature or features do you feel are missing in Windows 7?

To start us off, I would like to see an E-Mail Client as part of the OS (Windows Live Mail).

Windows Mail is hidden but can be used with a lot of tweaking, provided you have access to a Vista rig.

Windows Live Mail can be downloaded. I think this was in answer to the EEC's case for Microsoft including too many exclusive features, or some such equally stupid reason.

I would like to see email also, but I dislike live mail. Would much prefer Windows mail. All the folders are there, just activate it or give us instructions so we can activate it. Doubt if it will happen though. They are removing these things to satisfy the government lawyers.

As far as I'm concerned they could remove Paint and Wordpad. I never use them.

One thing that would be nice is to make Windows Explorer a multi paned file manager with sync functionality. I have to use 3rd party software for that now.

I'd like DreamScenes to be in it as in Vista.

Windows Mail is hidden because they want you to go with Windows Live Mail

Check this out: windows 7 mail (Post # 19 onwards)

Meanwhile Incredimail works

Thanks Ex_Brit. I have already done that. It works but does not give me 100% functionality. And why are those folders still there if we can't use them?

I like that WM uses the contacts folder. Live mail does not import my business contacts correctly and I'm not too keen on re-entering them all. Same with the 3rd party apps I've tried so far.
