need help badly
I am pulling my hair out. It started out cause My system HP Compaq 2010 win 7 64 bit, Stopped seeing or recognizing my
Fuji Camera. Somebody said get a card reader, so I got this $6.00 one from big lots. Should be OK I thought.
Still would not recognize card reader. So I don't know, maybe the card is no good, Get another card, same problem.
Meanwhile thumb drive is read right away. So I was reading about deleting the filters in some string, well I went there, and there is no filter.
So like a jerk I on a Whim or impulse I deleted the filter from another line.
Now I don't have no keyboard on that machine.
Even if I remove the keyboard from device manager and re install it, it says it installed the drivers, and all is well, but it still don't work.
So I did a re install from a ghost copy I have on my external HD, from over 6 months ago, and it took so GD long to install, I had to go to bed for the night.
Well still no keyboard.Of course, No I didn't back up the registry, I wasn't sure how to do it.
I had some back ups in my folder, but when I went back and did the re install off the ghost, now of course the back up is gone.
So to my original problem it showed the camera and the card reader as unknown device in device manager, removing it and replacing did not help.
I am thinking something happened to the camera, and maybe the card reader is no good, as it will not be read on 2 computers. But I really need my keyboard back in the win 7 system.
Is there a way to restore the registry.
Oh Yeah, system restore does not work, it says it failed, no changes were made.
Or am I forced to re install windows. I would have thought the restore from the ghost image would have fixed it.
Thank You
