You can print them individually.
If you don't want them on your drive anymore you can use a USB stick and move them to it.

Not sure I understand your question. Do you just want to move the pics to another place/device or do you want to permanently delete them.

pictures from hard drive

I thank everyone for their reply. This is what I want to do.

I have many pictures on my hard drive that I would like to use in a project that I am currently working on. I am making picture with music cd's.

I do not want to delete any pictures from the hard drive, I just want to use some of them in my project.
Someone suggested a usb but I am afraid that I would make a mess and delete pictures in error, but I appreciate the suggestion.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks again for all of the help.

Here is the best way for you to operate:

1. Make a new folder in Pictures and call it 1pic - this name is not compulsary but it is handy as you will see later.

2. Make a shortcut of that 1pic folder on the desktop - right clickon the folder > send to desktop

3. Press start and type shell:sendto, then hit Enter. That brings up the sendto folder

4. Make that sendto folder a bit smaller on the screen so that you can see your 1pic shortcut. Drag that shortcut into that folder. Close the folder

5. Now you go to the pictures that you want to use in the project. Right click on every picture that you want to use and go to sendto and click on 1pic. That will send a copy of that picture to the 1pic folder. Nothing gets lost and you will thus collect all pictures for your project in the 1pic folder.

6. For convenience, you may want to again make a shortcut of 1pic on the desktop. Then it is easily accessible.

When you read all that, it may sound difficult, but it is really very easy to setup. The reason I suggested 1pic is that now 1pic is first in the sendto context menu (because 1 is high in the sorting sequence). Then you don't have to search thru the whole context menu every time you use it.

OK, it's really 1, 2, 3. It should not take more than 5 minutes to set it up.
