From what I've seen & read, it is quite a pain to remove. Any chance you can do a system restore to the point before the infection occurred? Might be best to go back 2 or 3 points past the 1st restore point, since some malware embeds itself in the 1st restore point.
Another thing you could try is Norton Power Eraser.

Because Norton Power Eraser uses aggressive methods to detect threats, there is a risk that it can select some legitimate programs for removal. If you accidently remove a legitimate program, you can run Norton Power Eraser to review past repair sessions and undo them.
