    security permission issues with windows 7


    Hello everyone,
    I have dell vostro 2520 laptop with intel i3 3rd gen processor and i got a serious and annoying problem
    i have windows 7 proff. In my laptop and using it since last year but so for securing my contents i used to set security permissions on my both 120gb hard drives parent folder for guest users but recently i got some virus issue so i uninstalled my os and reinstalled my win 7 but after doing it i got error on my each folder of hard drive saying you dont currently have permission to acess to folder so i gone to setting and changed owner of my lapi and got acess in folder but inside the folder all subfolders got same issue and files inside them same i got tons of files and folder in my hdd so i cant change ownership of each file any easy way to get rid of this problem please help still stucked in it and one more thing i cant copy any file in any external drive without changing ownership please help

    Hello Krishnesh, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    If you have not already, take ownership of the external hard drive itself with the Replace owner on subcontainers and objectsbox checked, then set permissions to allow your account "Full Control" of the drive. Afterwards, see how it works for you.

    In addition, you could use the context menu below to make taking ownership and setting permissions easier for items as needed.
