When saving a file, instead of navigating several directories, is it possible to save a particular directory in the drop down area? If not, maybe set up said directory on the left (with other default dirs).

If you like, you could add a link to where you want to save them under Favorites in the navigation pane to make it easier to select.

Thanks for the link, but I probably didn't explain the issue properly.
When I save a file, the Save As window pops up (see attached screenshot).. In the actual drop down area (at the top) is where I'd like to place the directory.
I used to be able to do this in XP with file path most used (I think).
Ah, I see. In that case, you could use the tutorial below to customize the places bar on the left to have up to 5 locations you would like instead. :)
