Saving files - How to set a directory in the drop down area?

    Hi.

When saving a file, instead of navigating several directories, is it possible to save a particular directory in the drop down area? If not, maybe set up said directory on the left (with other default dirs).

Hello LemonHead, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you like, you could add a link to where you want to save them under Favorites in the navigation pane to make it easier to select.

Favorites - Links - Add or Remove in Navigation Pane

    Hope this helps, :)

Thanks for the link, but I probably didn't explain the issue properly.

When I save a file, the Save As window pops up (see attached screenshot).Saving files - How to set a directory in the drop down area?-save-1.jpg. In the actual drop down area (at the top) is where I'd like to place the directory.

I used to be able to do this in XP with file path most used (I think).

Ah, I see. In that case, you could use the tutorial below to customize the places bar on the left to have up to 5 locations you would like instead. :)
