Win 7 randomly loses ReadyBoost key drive
I have just updated Vista home Premium to Win7. Most things are working fine, but Win 7 keeps losing my 8GB USB drive that I am using for ReadyBoost. At random (but most times) after a re-boot the drive shows up, but with no file contents shown. The legend in properties says that it cannot be used for ReadyBoost as the drive is not USB 2.0. Right Click and "eject", remove the drive, stick it back in again and readyboost activates and the 8Gb file appears. Any ideas why Win7 might be "losing" the drive? It was fine (albeit limited to 4GB) under Vista. Sounds to me like a driver problem, but nothing shows up in the properties or elsewhere as faulty. I have updated everything that Windows Update can find. Any ideas, please?
