Where did you buy it? The retail is supposed to include both 32 and 64 bit versions.

The key works for both versions.

yeah i think it will work...I bought a retail version of home premium and got two discs in the box one 32bit and the other 64bit and one licence key so I guess I can use that key for both discs

Good to know if I do decide to go 64 bit in the next few years

The keys do not distinguish between 32 or 64 bit. You can use the key you received at the Microsoft conference with a 64-bit copy of Windows 7 Ultimate and it will work fine.

TechNet or MSDN - one of the folks you attended the conference with will probably have a subscription.

Eventually there will be a program similar to this one for Vista: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvist...a/default.mspx
