    Can not rename folder that has a text file that was just edited

    A folder with a .txt file that was just edited or created, saved and closed, going up one level to rename the folder, I get the dreaded;
    "The action can't be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program."

    I can use Unlocker (a wonderful program) to do so, but that should be unnecessary. If I close the Explorer window and reopen it, I can rename the folder.

    This seems to be related to that cached thumbnail long standing problem which doesn't seem to be fixed according to all the topics I have seen. But, that seems to apply to deleting files, not renaming folder where the file exists.

    I always use the 'details' view in Explorer and thumbnails are turned off.

    Ideas??

    I have no idea if this will work but it shouldn't hurt anything. UpdateEnv I wrote to do things like flush the Registry changes to disk without logoff. It simply calls the AutoIt built in function EnvUpdate() 3 times. When Explorer is hanging onto something it may not work. But it would only take a short time to find out. :)
