How do I make Windows my default programme for opening JPEGs

I am having problems opening JPEG's Tiff's etc, they just will not open. How do I make Windows my default programme for opening them please. I am running Windows7 Premium Home edition also Photoshop CS5.

Try this and select which ones you want JPEGS, TIFFS etc.

Control Panel, Default Programs, Set default programs. Select Windows Photo Viewer and 'Choose defaults for this program'. You may Select All, or choose by extension.

Photo shop does create jpeg's willingly mostly psd's and no other program will open a psd file that I know of ?

IrfanView can display psd files.
I'm not sure if the plugins pack is required (as I always install it).

GIMP can edit them.
