Question about transferring OS

I am not sure where to post this, so sorry if this is wrong section.

Basically, I have an older 60gb SSD and am looking to upgrade to a newer 120-256GB SSD. But, I want to transfer my OS.
My questions are
#1 How can I do this and not lose any data?
#2 Will it affect any licenses or anything like that I.E. Autocad? I wouldn't think it would, right?

Would this program (Acronis) transfer everything and not mess any licenses up?

What I would do is use Macrium Imaging to clone or image over the HD to SSD. This is as easy as dragging the System and/or C partitions to the SSD, then you can adjust sizes using the link it will place below the dragged partition. As long as the space used on the source disks fit onto the SSD, it will self-adjust to fit the space available.

Once cloned or imaged, unplug the source drive, set the SSD as first to boot in BIOS, then try booting SSD. If it won't start, boot the Win7 disk using the one-time BIOS boot menu to confirm the Partition Marked Active then run Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times until it starts.

Yeah but will this work with me transferring from SSD to SSD?

Basically it will be as if I were using the original drive with original content once I transfer correct?
