CPU slow down during right click
So, I've determined its not spyware or anything malicious. The issue seems to happen every so often.
If I right click and go to "new" the computer will lockup and I can hear one of my HDD's start up. I have a SSD with windows installed on it for my master, and a HDD as a slave followed by 3-4 externals all plugged in.
After about 5-8 seconds it goes back to normal and I can create a new folder etc... and after it happens once I can do it again and it will be fine, there's no lag. It's one of those things that happens every now and again and makes me think "I should look into that" but never do because its not *that* annoying.
I realize now I should try to unplug all of my externals and try it out and I will. I just don't know when it will happen again so I figured I could post here and maybe someone can offer some other possibilities of what might be causing it.
I've also noticed that along with this when I just my computer down sometimes it can take 5-10 minutes which is odd considering it takes about 20-30 seconds to start up and be ready to use.
I'll edit this post once I test out unplugging the externals theory. Thanks again.
