personal computer_Logging to temp profile_ lost my admin rights
Hello,
I am in a dire state of problem. I am using windows 7 ultimate on my Dell inspiron N4010. I have been logged on to a temp profile by which I understand that the user profile i am using is corrupt. I went to <regedit> and deleted the ".bak" extension from file. This did not fix my problem. I then created another account and transferred all my file to the new user account except ntuser.dat.LOG1, NTUSER.DAT and ntuser.dat.log2.
After all my files were transferred, I gave admin rights to the new profile and made my corrupt or current profile a standard user profile. I logged off my corrupt profile and when I was logging on to my new profile it says " The group Policy Client service failed the logon. Access is denied.
Please help !!! I have tried using command prompt to create another admin profile, another user profile, to activate in-built admin and other methods from different forums and youtube. Nothing has worked. The problem seems to be that I am unable to do anything because of the temp profile. What can I do ?
