To what "legacy key" are you referring?

Can you provide a description or picture?

    Can not delete Legacy key

I wanted to delete the Legacy_HITMANPRO37 key. I went to each hive, selected 'Permissions' and made sure everyone had 'full control'. Ran regedit/find and selected "Hitman". Got to Legacy_HITMANPRO37, after deleting some other HitMan keys, and it would not delete. I got an error msg, which I have forgotten now after several hours.
Anyway, the gist of this story is that after several attempts to delete that key, and getting a msg that I could not do it, this key has disappeared! Thank you for responding. What ever magic is working on this machine, I need a can of it to now find out why IE11 just up and quits sometimes.
Again, I appreciate your interest in helping me. Thankfully there are good people like you always willing to give their time for others.

I would roll back to IE10 in Windows Updates>Update History>View Installed Updates because IE11 is buggy in other ways, too, like messing up gadgets: IE11 Appears not to support gadgets. What are the alternatives ? - Page 3 - Windows 7 Help Forums
