Disabled Aero Peek but thumbs still show

I disabled Aero Peek and rebooted but thumbnails still show. Is there a way to get rid of them and just have a tooltip? Thanks. Windows 7 Home Premium SP1

    Hello Walt,

Aero Peek is to just to see a quick peek at what's on your desktop by temporarily making all opened windows transparent while the pointer is on the button at the far right on the taskbar.

Aero Peek doesn't have anything to do with thumbnail previews in Windows Explorer. Please clarify if you do not mean these thumbnails. I'm not sure what tooltip you mean though.

The tutorial below can help show you how to disable thumbnail previews. :)

Hi Brink. Sorry, I should have specified, the taskbar thumbnail previews is what I'm trying to disable. Per your tutorial, Taskbar Thumbnail Live Previews - Enable or Disable in Windows 7, to disable taskbar thumbnail live previews you disable Aero Peek. I followed the instructions and rebooted but there are still thumbs in the taskbar. By tooltip I mean a balloon tip with just text that opens instead of a thumbnail.

Ah, ok. See if this is what you wanted instead of the live ones. :)

Thank you very much Brink. That 7+ Taskbar Tweaker is a pretty handy tool. I've used it to make the necessary adjustments. :)
