A few days ago, i was installing some updates, and after the laptop rebooted, the screen blacked out and kept doing it, and i had to hard reboot 3 times. After that it responded. It still does that. Can someone help???!? Toshiba Satellite C55D-A5392 500 gigabyte HD, AMD A4-5000 APU with Radeon graphics

    Do you mean Windows Updates?

If so, how about a System Restore prior to the time you did the updates? After that, go back to Windows Update and see what's offered to you, but be more careful about what you accept.

Or maybe you can undo individual updates through the Control Panel.

Look at the Updates which were installed to see what they were. As suggested try SysRestore or uninstall the Windows Update - Uninstall an Update - Windows 7 Help Forums.

Try upgrading the Display driver, or in Device Manager uninstall it, reboot to reinstall.

Work through the Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 to go over your system, including the hardware tests.

If it persists try an external monitor to see if it replicates the problem. If not then it is likely the laptop monitor which may need a better connection or replacement.

It would help to see a camera or phone snap of the problem: Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums - Windows 7 Forums

Can you keep the display running long enough to do the steps I gave you?

If not can you reboot into Safe Mode.

You can also use the Win7 installation disk or System Repair Disk to boot into System Recovery Options to run System Restore to a point where it will display. This will also tell you if this is a problem with the monitor or just the driver, which is most likely since the point where it blinks out is while driver is loading. So you may need to roll back, reinstall or Update the Display driver.
