    the my documents would not succumb to the command. a command window opened & kept running. other folders under user would blink very quickly & fade.

    Since you moved your Documents folder to K, then is that where you are trying to save to and not to C?

    brink saving to k:\ my documents worked. what do I do with 10 gigabytes of files In my documents on c:\??

    I just finished coping & pasting my documents from c:\ to k:\. k:\ my documents properties has no location tab or restore defaught button. Is this right ??

    Does C: have a locations tab?

    What does your permissions show for Documents at C:?

    Permissions - Allow or Deny Users and Groups

    yes c:\ has a location tab. By permissions you mean like security ?? that highlights In blue.

    Correct. Like below. You would want to check to make sure that your account has "Full control" checked for "this folder, subfolders and files".
