programs not displayed in control panel list

When displaying installed programs in the control panel it stops after those starting with o
the programs like windows live do not appear yet they function fine.
is there some way to fix this?
I have run so far run adwcleaner, junkwareremovaltool, and rkill and although it did find many items and deleted them I still have a installed programs list that does not list beyond Oxxxxxx
I did get this from another post on SevenForums before starting this post.

Did you un-install a program just before this happened?

Jacee the first thing that I did upon noticing that the list was incomplete was to run Malwarebytes. there were 79 hits and I deleted them. Then I went to the forum and found the problem had been reported and followed some of the solutions posted. However none of them gave me my list back.

Just to be sure, did you scroll all the way down to the bottom? I have seen program lists that appeared to end, but on scrolling it was just a huge gap, with the list continuing after the gap. Don't know why.

Try running sfc /scannow. Try Option 2 on this tutorial from here:

sorry I didn't get back sooner. I did as instructed in option 2. The scan did not turn up any errors or find anything wrong. I then opened the program list and the listing still only goes to O.
In the one drop down box I found choices for A and then O and checked them both but did not change anything.
I am going to try and download the program called Revo Uninstaller and see what it might show and see if there are any strange looking programs in their lists.

Another good program to use to see information is Ccleaner.
