    Ctrl+Backspace issue in explorer

Normally using Ctrl+Backspace erase last word you typed. I don't know what triggered this but i get this character when using this shortcut. Any ideas?

There's no way in Windows to bring up a list of which program owns what hotkey. Easiest would be if you could pinpoint when it changed and restore point out of it. Other than that I would check if you run any hotkey type programs, esp. in the system tray. Process of elimination or restore point seem to be the options.

I know all the shortcuts used by my running apps and it's not one of them. It's more like a bug..

That still leaves restore point. If you don't have any or they don't fix it I would try
sfc /scannow in admin command promt run 3 times

    and/or malwarebytes antimalware scan

Did you try editing a file name in the explorer of your windows 7 sp1 x64? Does ctrl+backspace indeed erase last typed word?

I don't have Windows Seven anymore. I have Windows 8.0 x64 and it does work.

Maybe it varies with Editor? I tried it in EditPad Lite 7, notepad, and this editor applet or whatever it's called in this forum, and it's working for me. Maybe they realized it broke and fixed it in W8? One more reason to upgrade? Except I miss the Glass. W8 looks pretty drab without it.
