I can't download specific ZIP file on one computer, security problem?

    Hi,

I can't download specific file on one of my computers, whether on others everything is fine.
    Same WiFi point, same ISP.

When I download this ZIP file its immediately corrupted (small file size) and I can't open it.
I have disabled the antivirus, I have tried with Chrome and IE, but to no avail.

It began 3 days ago, till then I could download it normally.
Something seems to prevent me from downloading it on this specific computer, it appears that the OS (windows 7) is doing this.

    Can anyone help?

This seems like an odd problem. I've never experienced something like this. Can you point us to the zip file in question?

    Of course.
madVR - high quality video renderer (GPU assisted) - Doom9's Forum
    First link "madVR.zip" (7.5 MB).
Its a Video Renderer for Media Player Classic called madVR.

I can download it from my phone and my laptop.
But on my desktop it downloads it in a split second and the file size is 2kB (ie. corrupt).

Maybe something with windows Temp Folder, Internet Security settings, Services, Security?

What browser are you using for the download? Is it the same on the phone and laptop? You could try clearing the browser cache and see if that works.

Thanks, but it did not help.
I use CCleaner to periodically clean the junk but this did not solve this issue.

I have tried with Firefox, Chrome & IE11.
Same problem on all of them, so it must be somewhere in the OS.

    Maybe this will help:
When I try do download this file with different Proxy using "Hide My Ass" web site, everything is fine.
Maybe something with proxy settings in windows?

It's downloading fine on my end. A couple of questions.

    1. Can you describe how you're connected to the Internet? e.g. PC > Switch > Modem
    2. Can you post a screenshot of these settings?
    Control Panel\Network and Internet\Internet Options\Connections (Tab)
