    Windows 7 Freezes

    Hi there,

I am having a problem with my Windows 7 Professional 32-bit computer. Firstly, when I turn it on, the screen which displays the users of the computers takes a while to come up, and when I switch user from one user to another, that takes forever. Browsing on the Internet is really slow and always freezes - I use Chrome and Firefox.

My computer is also freezing on nearly every application that I open. I recently system restored my computer back to 2011 because it was so slow, but the system restore hasn't seemed to make a difference - it's just as slow. Would any of the drivers need updating because of it being restored to 2011?

    Cheers,
    Leo

Hi there! Can you post your system specs? Also, before your computer slowed down, what are the activities have you done? have you installed any applications?

    Hello,
I have uploaded my System Specs to OneDrive: http://1drv.ms/1eOQzsy
I don't think I've made many changes, as mentioned in my post a system restore back to 2011 didn't make much differance.
    Cheers

    Hi VinnyBuxton,
Restoring your computer will not help beacause it will only restore system settings.
    You should :-
    1) Uninstall Programs that you do not use. Clearing Disk speeds up the system.
    2) Defragment your Hard Drive and Use Ccleaner software to clean your Computer.
    3) Use AVG PC Tuneup, it gives you a lot of recommendations to speed up your system
    4) Use a antivirus to scan for malware and viruses. It speeds up the system a lot.
    5) Disable the aero theme. (Use basic theme)
    6) Install more RAM and Processor. Windows 7 needs a minimum 1GB of RAM. Installing 2GB RAM will give you more speed.
    7) You can also reinstall your Windows it will give you a better performance. (If you want to know the last time you reinstalled the windows you can know by Opening Command Prompt and write the command "system.exe"(without quotes)).
    Thanks,
