    Empty folders, lots of them.

Each day I use my computer at least 6 to 10 empty folders are created in C:\users\me\AppData\Local.
These folders are named with a multi-character hexadecimal value enclosed in brackets {}. When double clicked each folder is reported "empty". Where do these folders come from? Can they be safely deleted?
    TIA.

I don't know where these folders come from but I would suggest leaving them alone unless.
Using normal system cleaning such as Ccleaner (default settings) or

Disk Cleanup - Open and Use

    Disk Cleanup : Extended

I have found if they are remove using the methods above no harm will come of your system.
If they are still there leave them there.
