slade1style, I am not sure exactly what you are asking. If you could make it more clear and detailed, we may be able to help you. But, if you have a UEFI BIOS, I believe you will have to make a USB Installation drive first (UEFI Bootable USB Flash Drive - Create in Windows)

Also see option 2 in this tutorial Secure Boot - Enable or Disable in UEFI

Is this a PC that came with Windows 8 preinstalled?

If so you'll need to be able to boot the Windows 8 disk if its the same version as was on there. Follow this video: How to Boot your Computer from a Bootable CD or DVD, or tap the key given for Boot Menu on first screen.

Once you boot the disk, you'll need to figure out which is the OS partition or avoid installing to a partition which is known to have files on it if they are not backed up. If the files are backed up or not important then I would delete all partitions and create new ones during the Clean Install - Windows 8.

If it's a UEFI BIOS then you'll need to boot the DVD as a UEFI DVD in the Boot Menu choices.

Let us know the answers to each of these questions we've given you, and results of the steps you try. If you are patient and work with us then you will get it reinstalled.
