View all file types when saving with "Save as"

Hi,
When saving a file using "Save as" (From Office, for example), I can see in the target folder only the files matching the selected type. Is there an option to see all file types immediately, regardless of the selected file type? This would be very helpful, especially when looking for files with similar names and in order to get a quicker overview of the contents of the folder.

Thanks!

Normally you can click on Save as type then select All Files (*.*).

I don't know of any way to make this a permanent change.

If you are referring to the drop down list that appears in programs like MS Word, as in the image below, I don't know of any way it can be modified.

Formerly WMC only showed .jpg and .tiff files. Now it's suddenly, and without any prompting on my part, showing my raw .cr2 files. Because I don't want the codec installed to view them (making their deletion by accident more difficult and helping to speed up my system), they just show as grey...

How to easily change the "Type" description of file types in Explorer
G'day everyone After doing some Googling I discovered that it is impossible in Windows 7 to sort files by file extension -- one can only sort by file type, which depends on the file type description. This means that if I want to sort by file type, I need to rename the type descriptions of all...

Saving e-mail pictures - Where is "save as"
I often receive interesting pictures conglomerates from friends sharing cool pics. With XP, I recall that I could always right click on any e-mail pic, even if it was embedded in the email (not an attachment), and I could choose "save as" from the drop down menu. In Win 7, I only get an option of...
