Blank white box appears when right clicking.

Just about to edit some sound files until I noticed that when I right click on the file or any file, folder, etc. (apart from the stuff inside a browser), the box is white. To see what's written, I need to hover my mouse and move it. I don't know what caused it. I was just reading some news before working and it happened. I'm currently thinking that it's a virus, malware or those nasty stuff. Currently running RogueKiller and see if there's anything suspicious. Will edit after doing the scan.

Edit: Just restarted the PC and the problem's gone. RK didn't find anything suspicious too.

Any suggestions on what programs to use to scan my PC?

I have seen this happen before in windows. It does not happen often, but graphical glitches sometimes occur. I doubt its malware related. Malware these days attempts to not show itself, and would not have much a reason to do what you are describing.

Had it been a long time since you restarted?

Could be explorer.exe on the fritz.

Well, what I usually do if there's a graphical glitches is launch a game and atleast go to the game's menu then quit to see it's fixed. I just thought of this now and probably by switching the color depth, the problem could disappear. Also, I manually ended explorer and start it again, but nothing happened.

I restarted the PC shortly after I noticed the problem.

You could look for a updated driver for your graphics card.

That does happen on Windows 7 a lot, I usually do CTRL+ALT+DEL, Open Task Manager and kill Windows Explorer, It should restart and work properly.
