This should work;

Simple way: Open Notepad, Type a space
Highlight the space and choose ‘Copy’
Close Notepad without saving. Your clipboard has been cleared of the large file and now contains just one character!

If you had selected "Cut" (which also puts the space into the Windows clipboard), then when you close Notepad, you will not be prompted to save the file. Notepad knows when it has nothing to be saved :-)

For operations that I do over and over, I try to find a way to do the task with the least number of keystrokes or mouse clicks. And I don't like having too much stuff on context menus. I don't think that I've ever needed to clear a picture from the Windows clipboard, but I have wanted to clear a password that I've copied. I tend to just pick a shortcut on my desktop and copy that. Doing so should replace the Windows clipboard's previous contents.

buddy123,
If this is something that you are going to do over and over, then you can assign a Shortcut key to a shortcut to the batch file posted by Boozad. If your hands are on the keyboard, then use the shortcut key. If your hand is on the mouse, then double click on the shortcut (assuming that you can get to the shortcut without too many clicks).

Thanks for the information, I hadn't thought about using "Cut", live and learn!
