    Changing Advanced User Profile Names

    Hey Guys,

So I like to think that I can fix what ever I need to on my laptop but this has me stumped.

I had a boyfriend (who was soon after an ex) get rid of a virus on my laptop. He thought it was funny to change my profile name. While I've gotten it kinda back to the way it was suppose to be, the author on documents is still coming up "boobies".

I go into Configure advanced user profile properties and the name comes up as MATTEO\boobies.

I don't know how to make this go away and I'm afraid to send documents to people because I don't know if this is going to show up.

I've tried everything I can think of to try to change it, but I'm coming up short. PLEASE HELP ME!

    Thanks,
    Mags.

Sending documents to people should not come up that way with that on there, as you can change the author name under office or openoffice for example.

Have you tried changing it under Control panel-user accounts and family safety, user accounts?

You could also make a new administrator account, and copy your data to the new profile and delete the old one.

By the way, apologies for my gender. Men are sometimes stupid.

    See tutorials:

This might help to change the name:

User Profile Folder - Change User Account Folder Name

If that does not work, create a new account, copy your data to the other account, and then delete the old profile:

    User Account - Create

    User Account - Delete
