System sounds are muted: others are not???

    System sounds are muted: others are not???


    My system sounds (exit windows etc.) are muted. They will not play even by pushing the "test" button in Control panel;Sound. Other sounds work normally. How to fix?

    Does the Volume Mixer show System Sounds as muted?
