    Hiberfil.sys

    Running Windows 7 pro 32-bit.
    All updates in place.

I can't find where "hiberfil.sys" is located to see the size of the file.
Tried a search with "Hidden files showing".

Next I want to remove it.
I understand that the file doesn't effect anything else and is safe to remove.

In the command prompt I would type in powercfg -h off then hit enter to
    delete the file.

hiberfil.sys will be in the root of the Windows partition. It will only exist if hibernation is enabled.

Do this to remove it: Hibernate - Enable or Disable Remember don't turn it off if you use hibernate.
