Pin websites on taskbar

This is my first experience with a forum. Could not figure out how to ask a question. This thread came up when I did a search on web sites on task bar. I do not like to have icons on my desktop. Previously I put shortcuts to the web sites on the task bar. As far as I can tell, it cannot be done in Windows 7. Can anyone help?

Hello bigsister,

Welcome to Seven Forums.

Did you put the shortcuts on a quicklaunch toolbar? I don't believe they can be pinned directly to the taskbar.

You could handle this a couple ways. If you use IE and have that program pinned to the taskbar, you could pin all of the shortcuts to the jumplist for IE. Another way would be to put all of the shortcuts into a folder on your HDD. Then right click on the taskbar/Toolbars/Create new toolbar. Select the folder with the shortcuts. Your new toolbar should show up.

Hope this helps.
