I had Win Office Pro 97 some years ago when still in business, it became unusable after 3 installs, was stored in dry, dark cupboard. I have had a few music CD's become unplayable, latest was a Katie Mellua in which the opening track could not be heard.

After examining each affected disc with a magnifying glass, it was evident that separation of the layers had occurred at different points on each disc. In every mass-production process, there are very small numbers of products which are defective, or have defects which may deteriorate but not show up for some considerable time.

It's modern life I guess. There was once a rumour that cars made during a Monday or a Friday factory shift, were not made with the same attention that those made on other shifts had been. I suppose robot assembly lines took care of that one, but my last car would have been made by a hungover Monday shift, I think. Present one probably made by a Wednesday shift, all in a good mood! Both Fords, go figure ...

Hmm, this isn't consistent with our 100's of years of cumulative experience or the facts. It might be your area of OZ has a different kind of bytes and atmosphere than the rest of the Earth though.

Thanks Tony.

Oh, come on. Snap out of it. It's anecdotal either way. You are actually really offending me with this.
