Welcome Screen hangs for 25 secs in Win 7 ultimate x64

I recently bought a pc with config :

    Intel i3 3220
    4 gb ddr3
    500 gb hdd
    gigabyte h61m-s1 mobo
    nvidia geforce 210

I installed Win 7 ultimate x64 ,drivers, nvidia 337.88 driver, realtek driver ,avast free antivirus 2014,tune up utilities 2014. But the welcome screen takes 20 to 25 secs.I tried all msconfig things (disabling services and startups) and got it reduced by 5 secs.Disabled all start up programs AV also.but no gain. Why it is so?
but my friend has the same config and his welcome screen is for only 3-5 secs .Please help.It is very annoying.I have tried all

Your motherboard is a dual channel motherboard. Which means you need to have two ram modules installed to use dual channel. One module installed is using single channel which is a lot slower.

    GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-H61M-S1 (rev. 2.0)

    1. 2 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 16 GB of system memory
      * Due to Windows 32-bit operating system limitation, when more than 4 GB of physical memory is installed, the actual memory size displayed will be less than 4 GB.
    2. Dual channel memory architecture
    3. Support for DDR3 2200(OC)/1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules
    4. Support for non-ECC memory modules
    From your specs.

    Ghz
    Motherboard Gigabyte H61M-S1
    Memory 4 GB DDR3 1 SLOT
    Graphics Card NVIDIA Geforce 210

That's not the case.My friend has also the same config .He has the same ram and exact same configuration. But his welocme screen takes no time.He has Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit and I have 64 bit.Does that matters? He also has kaspersky and I have avast. I tried safe mode and welcome screen takes 5 secs.I tried with windows boot timer and it said 51 secs.Is it normal? What yours?

are your hard drives identical and have you plugged it into a SATA 2 or 3 port? one theoretically is almost twice as fast as the other (in terms of maximum speeds, of which a mech drive wont reach.. but anywho)

as well as different sata ports on a mobo can be controlled by 2 different controllers.

whats mine? about 0.5 seconds.. infact my welcome screen is just a flash of blue light :)
one of the benifits of ssd's is sub 10 second boot times.

no there isnt a problem with anything, its just the limits of your computer.. its just a bit slow!

your hard drive could be a slow spinning platter with a low buffer cache speed, while your friends could be a quicker version.
even still 2 identical computers with identical components will not perform identically.
his cpu could run a few mhz faster, and his ram so too.

you could have more background apps or more personalisation to windows, which all add up in nano seconds, but as a whole add up in seconds.

as stated above, getting another stick of ram that is identical to yours and putting it in the correct lane will not only double the amount of ram you have but double the access speed to and from the ram. that will make a noticable difference.

so will buying a solid state hard drive which will be about 3.5x faster than your current one. but again it will all add up..

if you want speed you have to pay for it :)

Currently after installing hotfix KB977419.I reduced it by 15 secs.Amazing!! now the welocome hangs for 15 secs. And disabling the antivirus makes it 5 secs.So it may be an OS issue.Or Kaspersky faster than Avast.Should I download the new OS from http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-59465.iso ?
