    System administrator


    I need to know if the administrative tools folder is all shortcuts and I can not delete a program is says to contact the system administrator. This is a personal computer and i am the administrator How can I fix this issue?

    Hello Tinakeen, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    Yes, they are only shortcuts in the Administrative Tools folder. Are you trying to delete them directly from the folder?

    Administrative Tools - Restore Shortcuts

    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Administrative Tools

    well by what i found it does not show up in the start menu like it shows when i looked it up. and also i can not delete a program, because it states that i am not the system administrator but i am how do i solve this?

    In that case, check to see if you have turned on Administrative Tools to display in your Start Menu if you like.

    delete a program without sufficient access


    how do i get the program to be deleted if it says i do not have sufficient access to uninstall to contact the system administrator but that is me. I do not understand why I cant delete the program.

    Just to clarify, are you trying to delete shortcuts from within the hidden folder location I posted above?

    No I am trying to delete a program that somehow was downloaded onto my computer and and is states that i do not have sufficient access to contact the system administrator

    Well, that has nothing to do with Administrative Tools then.

    What program are you trying to uninstall?

    Have you already tried uninstalling it in Programs and Features?

    Yes and that is the error message i get. I thought that if i went to the administrative tools is where to change the permissions but that does not work either.
