Windows no longer shows cursors in their icons

I installed some program or another that edit cursors. I then uninstalled it, but now when I go into a folder that contains cursors, the icon for the cursor is the standard "file" icon, and not a picture of the cursor. It makes it difficult selecting cursors. How do I fix this?

Extract this file into the C:\Windows\Cursors\ folder. Restart and reset your cursors in the Control Panel\Mouse

No, I have the right cursors. But when I go into a folder to view any cursor at all, it's icon is the standard icon for an unknown file, and not what the cursor looks like, like it should be.

    Sorry, misunderstood.

Download this file and unzip. Double click the file to add the Default Cursor file type to your registry. Then restart your computer.
