Actually, I've just noticed that the pressure sensitivity works like a charm in Windows Notes and handwriting... Weird

Yes, Aero Snap is what you mentioned and more. There is a tutorial on it in that section. It shows how to turn it off. This is just a long shot, but it would not hurt to try.

I am holding off installing CS4 to test to see if you find a solution, but if you use CS3, it won't be a good test anyway.

Do you get that floating handwriting to text window with your Tablet PC. I had never seen that before?

I suppose the Adobe forums don't have an answer about this?

hmm hello funnycat and welcome to the forums

    i have a tx2500 which has a wacom built-in....
have tried pressure sensitivity (i will try later on)
but have you calibrated with the hp/wacom found the mobility center?
i found that out in 6801 that it messes with calibration when its installed and you had to calibrated a few time to get it working (i had to calibrate it at least once a day... )
so i havent installed hp wacom drivers as of yet....
as for the pointer and those option can be changed in the tablet setting and pen and touch in the control panel...

Funnycat, I finally installed CS4 and the Pen Tablet. Like you, I got no pressure sensitivity prior to installing the WACOM drivers.

After I installed the drivers I found something that would seem to be directly related to your situation. If you haven't seen it, go to Start Menu - Pen Tablet folder. Try using the Pen tablet properties. I haven't tried changing the settings, but it looks like it might do what you want. My pen currently goes the entire desktop whether I have CS4 open or not.

If there is some specific detail you need me to check, let me know how to set it up and what to look for.

Just a note, the next time I rebooted after installing CS4, I got a boot error message-first one. Don't know for sure it was related to CS4..

Ok, a small update - I installed build 7048 for the XDDM fixes and the tablet situation is still the same:
    - The only driver installed is the Penabled HP Minidriver
    - Pressure sensitivity works in Sticky notes, not in Photoshop
    - Q buttons work
I'll try to keep the minidriver and install the wacom driver now.

Okay, now that I installed the driver, the pressure sensitivity works in Photoshop, although I bumped into another issue - now the side button on the pen would always right click when I press it even though in wacom settings it's set to hold&tap which should make the right click registered from tapping the screen while holding the button

Ooookay, and now for a non-apparent reason I can't draw in sticky notes, it thinks the pen is a mouse

I remember having problems with my tablet (Intuos 2) in Vista. Wasn't the same as here. I ended up turning off 'desktop composition'. Advanced system settings/Performance settings. Has anyone tried that?

I haven't had this problem in 7, so probably doesn't have anything to do with it. Just grasping at straws.

Bamboo Fun stuck in top left corner

I have the same problem as funnycat. Did you resolve it? With windows 7 RC my wacom bamboo fun only works for the top left corner of the screen when i use photoshop 7. I also found the same problem in Inkscape, Blender and Open Canvas. I am using the Wacom 5.1.1-1 drivers. When i close those programs the pointer returns to the full screen and seems to function properly. Anybody else have this problem and maybe a solution?

    Thanks

Well I had the same problem with my Bamboo Fun and Windows 7 Pro and I've found a "sort of" fix

    I stopped the tablet services,
first the: TabletServicePen and second the: TabletInputService
Then I started them again, in the same order! (tried "restart", but this didn't work)

Dont really know if the order has to be the same but this is how I did it.
Since this happens every time I reboot. I have made a .bat file which contains the code bellow. This is very handy since a only have to execute this file instead of typing it manually or go into the control panel...

    BAT file
    1. Make a .txt document
    2. Open it and copy/paste the code bellow
    3. Save and close it
    4. Rename the file to wacom-restore.bat instead of *.txt
    5. Select the file and press enter :)
    6. Now should everything be OK, but you have to do this every time you restart the computer!

    Code:
    net stop TabletServicePen
    net stop TabletInputService
    net start TabletServicePen
    net start TabletInputService
    //Best regards
    Arre
