    Customize USB Drive

    Hello,

I am trying to customize USB drives for a Trade Show.

The USB contains a static website; no databases or anything complicated just very large.

    I would like:
A custom icon for my Welcome.html (the gateway to everything).
The same icon for the drive when seen on a computer.
    Anything but "Removable Disc".
And something creative when the drive is first plugged in other than that long menu.

I have tried everything, and I need help or is this impossible to do?

    Thank you

    Welcome nocturnalvibe,

The icon can be changed no problem, but the menu is something built within windows, to change that menu, it would be changing the shell of the system, you can turn auto run off on the system you will be using so there is no menu, you can also change the name of the drive to whatever you like but it requires a format.

The icon is just a simple right click and change icon under properties, navigate to c:\windows\shell32.dll and your icons will be there.

Auto run is a right click on the drive and properties, you can change auto run on there.

Make a copy of your drive contents and right click the drive to format the drive, at the top it'll say volume label and you can type in that box what you would like your drive to be called, just click on quick format as you're only changing the volume label.
