    Laptop freeze on photo folder

Hi, I have a problem with my lap top because when I try go to a folder that there are some important photos of mine everything is ok but when i scroll down my pc starts freezing and i cant do anything.I looked to my CPU usage and its ok, RAM is OK too, IDK what happened before 2 months it was ok. I scanned with my Eset Smart Security 7, nothing found, scanned with malaware bytes but nothing. That happens only in that folder with photos. Thanks

Sounds like you may have a corrupted file in that Folder. Might run a disk check from the Tools menu on the right-click and properties of that drive. Or Copy those photo files and subFolders to another place such as a suitable-size Thumb/Flash drive and try opening from there.

There's a number of ways files get corrupted on an HDD/Hard Disk Drive, has been that way since I started working on computers back in the mid-'90s with MS-DOS 5.0 and Windows 3.1. Could be from infections, power bumps, improper shutdowns, HDD failing, etc.

That does not fix the issue, only bandaids/prevents the issue.

I suggest a picture probably has a bad thumbnail. I would restore photos from a backup to fully fix it.

So it is an issue with corrupt thumbnail. In this case it might help: Thumbnail Cache - Clear and Reset

No problem mate. It might help, and might not, too. :) But that is an option to try for sure. :)
