What is DM file .backup.dm in Roaming?

Hi,

A few days ago this file appeared Appdata\Roaming. I don't have the proper program to open it, not even sure if I should. It's only 1KB.

Have really been making an effort since last install on Win 7 (for new SSD) to keep it clean.

What do those of you here that know do with a file like this? OK to delete? Any idea what it is or how it got there?

thank you

Well .DM file extension or DRM (Digital Rights Management) apparently has something to do with cell phone ring tones or other media clips. Can only be opened using an authorized cell phone?
My cell phone goes no where near my desktop & have no idea how it got there.

Deleted it.

Choosing between a file backup and a image backup...
I've recently upgraded to a 1.5TB external hard drive for video production work, which has left me with a 500GB drive which is no longer needed. I'm thinking of using it as a backup. Is Windows backup sufficient? Or should I be looking at specialist software? Also, I'm probably just going to...
